When making reservations online, the booking will be secured by entering your credit card details at the time of making the reservation. The reservation will be guaranteed on the express understanding that payment will be made by debiting the aforementioned credit card as per our cancellation policy. In the event that the reservation is cancelled, the following applies:
Cancellation Policy
0 – 30 days prior to arrival date forfeit 100% of accommodation value.
31 – 60 days prior to arrival date forfeit 50% of accommodation value.
61+ days prior to arrival date will be charged a 5% administration fee on total accommodation value.
Payment on arrival is required at the hotel, should the accommodation not have been prepaid- unless a prior signed agreement has been negotiated. All major credit cards are accepted. Diners club cards will not be accepted.
In the event that you wish to extend your stay, the rate offered to you for such extension may be different to the rate quoted at the time of making the on-line booking.
Reception is open 24 hours. Should you no answer be received, please send a WhatsApp as the receptionist on duty might, at the time of your urgency, be busy assisting another guest.
In the event of online bookings, placement is automatically made through the system. This means that family or friends might not be placed in rooms near each other.
Rates are quoted in South African Rand and are inclusive of continental in-room breakfast.
Rates include 15% VAT.
Room allocation is subject to availability and at management’s discretion. If no prior arrangement has been made and confirmed, all rooms can be moved to other rooms at the discretion of the hotel.
Bookings are considered confirmed on receipt of payment, and full prepayment is required to confirm the booking.

In event of premature departure, the full extent of stay, as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged.

We require a valid ID/Passport during check-in. You will not be able to check-in without presenting it. By entering these premises and participating in the activities offered thereon, you agree that neither Menlyn Boutique Hotel, any related entity or person. nor their employees, directors, agents or representatives (“us”) shall be responsible for any loss, damage, death or injury which you or your invitees, or any person(s) entering the premises or participating in the activities offered thereon through you or at your instance, may sustain on or about the premises by reason of any act, or omission whatsoever (provided however that the provisions of this clause shall not exempt us from liability arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct). You further agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any such loss, damage, death or injury.
We require the original charged/ booking Credit Card during check-in. This needs to be checked and verified. If you do not want to provide us with same, you will not be able to check-in and NO REFUND will be made therefor.
Please note that check in time is at 14h00 and check out is at 10h00. Late check-out is subject to room availability and a surcharge. You will be liable for an additional payment for late check-out, especially when no arrangement has been communicated. Children below the age of 4 stay for free. A cot will be provided at no extra cost.
If this is not arranged, children are allowed to sleep in the same bed as parents, but comfortability is not guaranteed. Breakfast will still only be included for 2 persons.
Children above the age of 4 years will require an extra bed in the room at the cost of R750.00. This includes breakfast for the person sleeping on the extra bed.
An extra bed is only available in certain rooms – subject to availability.
Airport shuttle can also be arranged on request, note that charges do apply.

Our pool is not heated, but temperature controlled. The pool is also not covered.
Guests are not allowed to host parties in their bedrooms.
Guests will be charged for damage/s to the rooms. Be it because of hair dye, vomiting on upholstered furniture etc.
All guests residing on the property in our rooms are required to provide positive proof of identification for both guests sleeping in the room.
